He began his career as a writer for the sitcoms Cheers and The Golden Girls. He then went on to write for Frasier, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Will & Grace. Hargrove has won two Emmy Awards for his work on Frasier, and has been nominated for a total of seven Emmy Awards. He has also won two Writers Guild of America Awards for his work on Frasier and Will & Grace. Hargrove is currently married to actress and writer Tracy Poust. They have two children.
